The Upson County Extension Forage School will be March 15, 22, & 29, 2016. A meal will be served and a pasture walk on the March 29th. The first two nights will start at 7pm in the Upson County Extension office and the 3rd night will start at 3pm with a pasture walk and supper at 6:30pm. The topic will be sprigging versus green-top planting of hybrid Bermuda. Forage establishment and management will be covered. Weed control will be dicussed, as well as soil fertility, poisonous plants, animal disorders, rotational grazing, and government programs. The cost is $55 each or $75 a couple. The cost covers the meal, a folder for information, and a cap. Please call the Upson County Extension office at 706-647-8989 to reserve a spot.
